Write your manuscript under the guidance of Neil D'Silva.
The Wryte People writing programmes offer structured mentorship for writers looking to develop their stories into short stories and novels. These programmes are designed for both aspiring and developing writers, whether they are starting with an idea or already have a manuscript in progress.
Through online mentoring sessions, one-on-one interactions, and a carefully planned timeline, participants are guided through the process of developing an idea into a complete manuscript. Rather than simply teaching writing theory, the programmes emphasise practical, hands-on development of each participant's story.
Participants are introduced to and taught various aspects of writing, including plot building, character arcs, creating atmosphere, generating interest through hooks and cliffhangers, pacing, and other elements that make stories come alive on the page.
The aim is to help participants move from an initial idea to a structured, workable manuscript.
The first question, of course, is whether it's possible to write a novel's manuscript in three months. The answer is: it's very much possible. Several established authors across the world achieve this, including our mentor Neil D'Silva, who writes (and publishes) up to 3 novels a year in both traditional and self-published formats.
For our programme, we have a specific plan. Roughly, the plan is as follows.
Weeks 1–2 — Build the Story
Develop your idea, characters, world, plot, and overall structure, and begin writing.
Weeks 3–4 — Find the Direction of Your Story
Establish the beginning of your story. Develop the story further. Then pause to assess and refine your plan before moving ahead.
Weeks 5–8 — Develop the Middle
Write through the heart of the story. Strengthen character arcs and deepen conflicts as you write. Navigate the major turning points.
Weeks 9–11 — Drive towards the Finish
Bring the major threads together. Build towards the climax. Complete the remaining chapters.
Week 12 — Complete the First Draft
Finish the manuscript. Review what you have created and understand the next steps towards revision.
A detailed programme plan will be provided once the batch begins. You will also have weekly group mentorship sessions, two 30-minute individual mentoring sessions during the programme, and ongoing support through our social media platforms.
To keep you motivated and accountable, we will have you track your daily writing progress. We will review this progress at the end of each week and use to guide you through the next stage of your work.
All you need to bring is the commitment to make time for your writing and the determination to see it through. We’ll provide the structure, guidance, and encouragement to help you turn your idea into a book.
