The Wryte People’s 90-day Write Your Novel programme is designed to provide structured guidance, mentorship, and accountability as our participants work towards completing the first draft of their novel. Our mission is to enable you to write your manuscript with the support of a structured programme and the positive environment we aim to create within our group. To help ensure clear expectations and a constructive experience for everyone, we have put the following guidelines in place.
The programme is designed to help you work towards completing a first draft within 90 days, or 60 days for the TWP Young Writers programme. While we shall strive to achieve this goal to the best of our ability, completion ultimately depends on your own time, effort, writing pace and commitment.
The programme provides instruction, feedback and mentoring. It does not guarantee publication, representation by a literary agent, commercial success, awards, screen adaptation or any other professional outcome.
You retain full ownership of your original work. The Wryte People and its mentors do not claim ownership or rights over your manuscript in any way.
The programme includes the group sessions and individual mentoring sessions specified in the programme description. It does not include complete manuscript editing, proofreading, rewriting, or ghostwriting, unless a separate service is offered and engaged to that effect.
All our participants will naturally progress at different speeds. Weekly sessions and topics may therefore be adapted according to the needs and progress of the group. During the scheduled one-on-one sessions, you will have an opportunity to discuss your specific concerns and progress.
Discussions about publishing, literary agents, screenwriting and related areas are intended as general professional guidance. You remain responsible for making your own decisions regarding publishers, agents, contracts, and other professional opportunities.
The mentor's name must not be used on a participant's book, manuscript, promotional material or related communication in a manner that suggests endorsement, authorship, collaboration, co-creation, or professional association with the work.
If you wishes, the mentor's name may be mentioned in the Acknowledgements section solely in recognition of his role as a mentor with The Wryte People who provided guidance during the development of the manuscript.
All participants are expected to respect the work, ideas and privacy of fellow participants and to contribute to a constructive and supportive environment. The Wryte People reserves the right to remove any participant in cases of plagiarism, harassment, abusive behaviour, deliberate disruption, or other serious violations of the programme's guidelines.
We expect you to attend all the weekly sessions, which will be conducted through a suitable online video platform such as Zoom or Google Meet.
You are required to keep your video on during sessions and keep your audio muted unless speaking. Sessions will be recorded for programme purposes. Recordings will not be made available to any participant who is absent from a session or is otherwise unable to attend.
You may not disclose or share the contents of the online sessions outside the group, particularly unpublished manuscript material or other work belonging to fellow participants that may be discussed during the sessions.
The use of AI generation tools is not permitted for any aspect of writing the manuscript developed as part of this programme. The purpose of the programme is to encourage you to create your own original manuscripts through your own writing, ideas, and creative effort within the stipulated timeframe.
This is a paid mentorship programme. Your place in the programme is confirmed only after the requisite fees have been paid. Please refer to the relevant sections for payment procedures, refund policy, and other information.
Check the age requirements of the programme you have chosen before filling out the form. For 13 to 18 years, we recommend TWP 60-day Young Writers programme, while for anyone 18 and above, we recommend TWP 90-day Write Your Novel programme.
The programme is conducted in English, and manuscripts developed as part of the programme are expected to be written in English. This is to ensure consistency and ease of communication within the group. This requirement does not reflect any bias or prejudice against any language. We hope to offer programmes in additional languages in future.
The online programme is currently available to residents of India and Indians living abroad. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis following prior discussion with The Wryte People.
International programmes and wider availability will be introduced in the future.
